Winchester Issues Snow Emergency

Heavy snow in forecast and officials want you off the streets.

The Town of Winchester issued a snow emergency for Sunday, Jan. 20th, starting at 1 a.m., continuing through Monday, Jan. 21st at 8 a.m.

During these hours it is advised not to travel if possible. All parked vehicles are to be off the street on private property to allow for snow removal. Any vehicle unable to be placed on private property can be parked at the Town Hall/Jenks Center parking lot or the Aberjona Drive Parking Lot for the duration of the storm. Any vehicle not removed from the roadway during the emergency will be subject to ticket, tow or both.

Snow accumulations are predicted to be up to a foot of snow or more. Dangerous travel conditions will develop late Saturday night and will continue all day Sunday.
