Ryan announced that Winchester Police spoke to the manager of a printing company who stated that their company had never received checks from a client which prompted an internal investigation. According to Ryan's announcement, the client provided documentation demonstrating proof of payment, but the company later discovered that the documents had been allegedly altered by the company's account manager who was responsible for the client's business account.
Police say they contacted the company's bank, and discovered the checks were deposited under Doesschate's name. He was released on personal recognizance on July 18, and the next hearing in this case is scheduled for Sept. 12.
