VIDEO: Winchester Musician Performs in Lexington
Singer-Songwriter and Winchester native, Randall Kromm, recently played a gig at Nourish in downtown Lexington.

With today's popular music scene ruled by flashy rappers and teeny bopper idols, . A singer-songwriter who preforms all his own material, Kromm is akin to such classic acts as James Taylor or Leonard Cohen.
Kromm recently played a gig over at in Lexington to celebrate the release of his latest CD, Waterwheel. All proceeds went directly to families struggling in the wake of the earthquakes in Japan, a program set up through the Roslindale Congregational Church.
“I'm thrilled to be doing something so close to home,” Kromm said. “It's great to be able to have friends and neighbors come out to see me.”

“All of his music comes from the heart,” said Neal Braverman, a Kromm fan who booked Randall to play a September 12, 7 p.m. show at his Roslindale Open Mic concert. “His family ties are very important, combining his roots in Vermont.”
Although Kromm is mainly a solo act, the gig at Nourish had Kromm playing with Producer of Waterwheel and bassist, Seth Connelly, with local percussionist Ken Porter, violinist, Jackie Damsky, and had his daughters, Emma and Grace, filling in some back-up vocals on several songs.

Kromm's next scheduled performance is August 1 at the Cantab Lounge at 8 p.m. in Cambridge, although Kromm hopes to schedule some more gigs as summer begins.
