Did you know that July is Disability Pride month in many places around the United States? The first Disability Pride parade was actually held in Boston in 1990, the same year that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law! Check out some of these wonderful books with characters with different types of disabilities including visible and invisible disabilities. Some of the books are also by authors with disabilities.
