Winchester Voter's Guide: The Presidential Primary is Tuesday, March 1
Your complete guide to Tuesday's Presidential Primary.

WINCHESTER, MA—Super Tuesday is tomorrow and Winchester residents, as well as others throughout the state, will be heading to the polls to vote.
Voters are encouraged to confirm their voter status and polling location by visiting the Secretary of State’s office online or by calling the Town Clerk’s office.
Winchester’s public schools will be open, according to the school calendar.

What You Need to Know about Party Affiliation
There are four political parties in Massachusetts:
- D - Democratic Party
- R - Republican Party
- J - Green-Rainbow
- CC - United Independent Party
When voting on March 1, 2016, voters who are enrolled in one of the above parties can only vote on the ballot for that party.

Voters who are unenrolled in a party (commonly known as “Independent”) will be listed on the voter list with the party code “U.” Unenrolled voters and voters who are members of Political Designations can choose which party’s ballot they would like to receive.
Residents had until Feb. 10 to change their party enrollment for the Presidential Primary.
Polling Locations and Hours
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

- Precinct 1 and Precinct 2 vote at Muraco School, Bates Road
- Precinct 3 and Precinct 4 vote at McCall Middle School, Main Street
- Precinct 5 and Precinct 6 vote at the Vinson Owen School.
- Precinct 7 and Precinct 8 vote at Lynch School, Brantwood and Horn Pond Brook Roads

CORRECTION: Previous editions of this story had listed precincts five and six designated to the Jenks Center. Precincts 5 and 6 are designated to vote at the Vinson Owen School, per the Town Clerk’s office.
