Winchester Woman Robbed in Cambridge: Report

The woman was allegedly robbed after asking two people for directions in Cambridge, according to the Winchester Star.

WINCHESTER, MA—A Winchester woman, who was not identified, was robbed in Cambridge after asking two people for directions, reports the Winchester Star citing police.

The Star reports that the incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. at Carl Barron Plaza in Cambridge on June 23, and that the woman had stopped a man and a woman for directions to North Station. The suspects allegedly charged the woman $20 for those directions.

During that exchange, the woman reported that she noticed the man taking her cell phone and wallet out of her purse. The Winchester Star reports that the woman had attempted to stop the suspects from leaving, but was pushed away.
