2020 Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes Available, Due March 9

Tax bills can be paid on the city website.

WOBURN, MA — 2020 motor vehicle excise taxes have been mailed out, the city of Woburn announced this week. The bills were mailed out Feb. 7 and are due March 9. Residents can pay online at https://www.woburnma.gov/pay/.

Massachusetts vehicle excise taxes are $25 per $1000 of the vehicle's value, calculated based on the list price and the year it was bought relative to the year of manufacture. More information is available from the state here.

"If you are using your own personal bank online payment service, please ensure payment in full will be received by the City of Woburn no later than March 9th, 2020 otherwise, fees will be assessed," the city announcement notes.
