Zachary Noonan is alleged to have duped thousands of dollars in the name of a charity.

Woburn Police warned residents this week of a scam that involved a ruse to raise money for charity.

Zachary Noonan, of Lowell, was arrested after allegedly duping thousands of dollars out of people in the name of The Volunteer Firefighter's Association, police told media.

The alleged scam follows the death of Watertown Firefighter Joseph Toscano, who collapsed at the scene of a fire.
