WINCHESTER, MA - Salter HealthCare is pleased to announce that renovations to the short-term unit at Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center have been completed.
Located at 223 Swanton Street, the Winchester facility is a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that provides high quality short-term and traditional nursing services in gracious, homelike surroundings.
The six-week renovation project in the short-term unit has resulted in new patient rooms with new electric beds, bedside tables, dressers, wardrobes, new artwork and flooring, and completely remodeled bathrooms. Additionally, rooms have been outfitted with complimentary, in-room telephone and television service with flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, and WiFi capability.
According to Deb Donovan, RN, Director of Marketing, “We are pleased to be able to offer our short-term rehabilitation patients state-of-the-art rooms and equipment, with all the comforts of home at their fingertips while they are rehabilitating with us.”
“The upscale amenities might sound somewhat lavish, however, we feel strongly that a little extra pampering will promote comfort in our setting and will also keep a patient's routine as close to normal as possible. Our goal remains a short length of stay in rehab and to get patients back to their everyday lives as quickly as possible,” she added.
In addition to Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Salter HealthCare also owns and operates Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Winchester and Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Woburn.
“We’ve been providing health care services to the local community since 1956. We’ve incorporated technology into our operations as patients have become more tech-savvy but ultimately we know the key to our success is finding qualified, dedicated professionals who deliver outstanding care to each and every one of our patients,” noted Shelley Silverman, R.N.C., N.H.A., Executive Director.
“We have highly trained, compassionate caregivers led by seasoned executive directors and department managers at each of our three facilities. This translates to successful outcomes and very satisfied patients and families. This is what our reputation has been built on,” Silverman added.
