ARREST LOG: Twelve Arrested During Busy Weekend at WPD
An excerpt from the Woburn Police Department's April 1-April 4 arrest log.

The following is an excerpt from the log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.
April 1 –
At 10:17 a.m., Luis Obeniel Moreno, 20, of 88 Charles St. in Waltham, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, no inspection sticker, and providing a false name to a police officer after a routine motor vehicle stop.

At 5:16 p.m., Robert Patrick Lavigne, 34, of 620 Lafayette Road Apt. #5 in Seabrook, N.H., was arrested and charged on an outstanding warrant.
April 2 –

At 1:20 p.m., Sara M. Petit, 22, of 919 County St. in Fall River, was arrested and charged with sexual conduct for a fee. According to police, who worked with the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force, Petit was using the name “Saphire” and “Destiny” and was allegedly offering sexual services for $150 per half-hour or $200 for an hour at a local hotel through a Web site advertisement.
At 3:47 p.m., Cheryl Ann Rios, 45, of 24 San Jose Terrace in Stoneham, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250 after police were called to for a report of shoplifting. According to police, Rios allegedly took several items into a dressing room and left the room with the items hidden. According to police, Rios attempt to shoplift a purse, wallet, shirt, pants, underwear, camisole, earrings, ring and a bracelet.
April 3 –
At 12:31 a.m., Brett Thomas Sullivan, 20, of 56 Day Circle, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (three counts), possession to distribute a Class D substance (marijuana), malicious destruction of property over $250, resisting arrest and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. .
At 3:56 a.m., Wayne Harold Francis, Jr., 33, of 5 Brentwood Ave. in Wilmington was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and malicious destruction of property over $250. According to police, the victim stated Francis threw clothes in the apartment and broke a DVD player. The victim also told police there was a physical altercation. Police placed Francis in custody after observing signs of a fight.
At 1:11 p.m., Devon C. Gagne, 17, of 106 Woodlawn St. in Lynn, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery, kidnapping, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of an electric stun gun, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and threat to commit a crime. .
At 3:31 p.m., Pasquale John Santosuosso, 57, of 65 Fairfax St. Apt. #1 in Somerville, and Ralph James Herrick, 53, of 34 Hideaway in Methuen, were arrested and charged with possession of a burglarious instrument, larceny over $250, and breaking and entering a motor vehicle/boat in the daytime for a felony. According to police, witnesses observed Santosuosso and Herrick taking auto parts from a vehicle at First Class Auto Service, which was closed for the day. Both men were taken into custody.
At 10:12 p.m., Paul Joseph Mara, 19, of 13 Sturgis St. Apt. #3, was arrested and charged assault and battery and violation of an abuse prevention order. According to police, Mara slammed a door on the victim, causing injuries.
At 10:53 p.m., Dimitrios Yanni Calpouzosi, 22, of 41 Upland Road in Burlington, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. According to police, witnesses told officers that Calpouzosi approached a vehicle, swinging a bat. He then allegedly followed the vehicle at a high rate of speed to the Police Department, where officers pulled him over and spoke to him. He was placed into custody. Police reported finding an aluminum baseball bat in the car, with the top sawed off.
April 4 –
At 3:24 a.m., Christopher Mercier, 41, of 254 Bunker Hill St. in Charlestown, was arrested and charged two counts of possession of a Class B substance (cocaine, oxycodone). According to police, Mercier was found naked pacing in a Pleasant Street apartment. Police learned he did have permission to be there, but that he had left the apartment in disarray. According to police, Mercier was found under the influence of narcotics and in possession of cocaine and oxycodone pills.
