POLICE LOG: Woman Loses Control of Car

March 13 –

At 2:58 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Washington Street at 800 West Cummings Park. According to police, one driver was exiting the parking lot onto Washington Street when a driver stopped to let her go. A vehicle in the second lane struck the turning car. Police cited the driver exiting the parking lot for “failure to yield to the right of way.” There were no reported injuries.

At 5:05 p.m., Christopher D. Raymond, 29, of 15 Sheila Ave. in Chelmsford, was arrested and charged on two outstanding warrants. According to police, officers were called to Marlboro Road for a report of a man walking between two homes. Police found the man sitting on a chair on the back porch of a Marlboro Road residence. The man gave police his identification and officers saw that he was wanted on two outstanding warrants. Raymond was placed into custody.  

At 7:58 p.m., police were called to Poole Street for a one-car accident. According to police, the 62-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and the brakes did not work, causing the car to crash into a utility pole. The driver hit her head on the windshield and was taken to Winchester Hospital by Woburn Fire. The car was towed from the scene because it was unregistered and leaking fluid, said police.
