Auction to Benefit Residents Ends Today

Red Sox tickets, lingerie, dinners and more are up for bid.

 

With eBay and other auction sites online, finding rare items and placing your bid is easier than ever.

One site—Bidding For Good—operates online auctions, but for fundraising projects. The Woburn Friends Helping Seniors is currently operating a fundraising auction that will end today—Friday, May 11—at noon.

Several items are available, including a pair of Boston Red Sox tickets to the Monday, July 16th game; a $50 gift card to the Brickyard along with a Cantagalli soup tureen; and an antique wooden trunk (estimated at the mid-1800's) filled with vintage items.

According to Bidding for Good, the Friends Helping Seniors have raised over $1,000 through the online auction, with 305 total bids on 34 percent of the items available.

But there is still time to get a last-minute bid in. Maybe you have your eye on that Jerry Garcia doll pictured here. He's only $13 right now...

The Red Sox tickets are currently at $182 and have 37 bids. As for the antiques, they're at $80 with 15 bids.

All items must be picked up at the , there are no shipping options available.

The Friends Helping Seniors group is a private, non-profit organization created to raise and provide funding for senior services in Woburn. The group promotes, fosters, encourages and sponsors activities for seniors year-round.
