Beloved Breakfast Chain To Open In Woburn

WOBURN, MA —A beloved breakfast chain is continuing its expansion in Massachusetts with yet another location.

First Watch will bring its daytime breakfast, brunch and lunch menu to Woburn on Monday. The business will open at 19 Commerce Way, a First Watch representative told Patch.

The location, formerly home to On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The approximately 6,700-square-foot restaurant will feature a bar, more than 200 seats and a locally inspired mural, the spokesperson said.

First Watch expects the Woburn restaurant to create about 30 jobs. The company typically begins hiring about a month before opening and operates its restaurants with one daytime shift and no night shifts.

The menu will include made-to-order dishes prepared without heat lamps, microwaves or deep fryers. First Watch lists Avocado Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Million Dollar Bacon among its popular offerings.

The company also introduces rotating seasonal menus several times a year. The Woburn restaurant is expected to offer its first seasonal menu in winter 2026.

First Watch's Expansion In MA

The opening comes as First Watch continues to expand in the Bay State.

The chain opened its first Massachusetts location in Hanover in January 2025, and later added a Boston restaurant in January 2026.

The company also plans restaurants in Swampscott and Dedham.

The new Swampscott location is expected to open in late fall at 450 Paradise Rd., the representative told Patch back in April. The restaurant will span about 3,700 square feet and feature a covered patio, more than 130 seats and a locally inspired mural.

In Dedham, First Watch is targeting a 2027 opening at 689 Providence Highway, the representative told Patch. That restaurant will be slightly smaller at about 3,400 square feet, but will include a covered patio, an interior bar, over 150 seats and a custom local mural.
