b.good brings "real food fast" to Cummings Park in Woburn
Fast-growing franchise to open early summer

People looking for a healthy, tasty, and quick meal in Woburn have b.good to look forward to. The fast-growing franchise that advertises “real food fast” will open a new restaurant at 4 Cummings Park in early summer.
There was a lot of interest in the high-traffic location, according to Cummings Properties leasing director Mike Truesdale, who worked with Vantage Point Retail’s Martin Benoit to bring b.good to Woburn.
“b.good was our top choice for the space,” said Truesdale. “It’s a popular restaurant that will provide another great dining option for the many clients and visitors at Cummings Park, as well as people who live and work nearby or are traveling on the highway.”

Cummings Park and West Cummings Park run parallel to vibrant Washington Street, at the intersection of I-93 and I-95. The 1.5 million-square-foot business campus is home to nine other eateries, including chains Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, Subway, and Sal’s Pizza, as well as independent restaurants offering sushi, Indian food, gluten-free baked goods, sandwiches, and diner fare.
b.good started as a single restaurant in Boston in 2004. It was the dream of childhood friends and Massachusetts natives Anthony Ackil and Jon Olinto. They wanted to start their own restaurant with a healthy menu based on the type of food Ackil’s late uncle, Faris, cooked for them as kids. Uncle Faris is also the inspiration for the name. He always told Olinto and Ackil to “be good.”

Featuring a mix of burgers and fries, smoothies, and kale-quinoa bowls, b.good has grown to more than 30 locations in nine states and Canada. More than half of its restaurants are in Massachusetts.
The 3,000-square-foot Woburn site will offer both indoor seating and patio dining. Typical of other b.good locations, it will feature herbs grown in-store under special lamps and handwritten notes on chalkboards informing patrons about where the food they are eating comes from.
Beef, potatoes, produce, bread, and ice cream for b.good’s Massachusetts restaurants are sourced from local farms and vendors in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, including DeLuca Farms of Reading. Last year, b.good partnered with DeLuca Farms to place a shipping container farm right beneath Route 93 in the South End that now produces kale for the chain.
“We are thrilled to welcome b.good to Cummings Park,” said Truesdale. “With its high-quality product, local roots, and strong philanthropic commitment to the communities where it operates, b.good’s goals and philosophies align nicely with those of Cummings Properties.”
