Shortly after they married they found the "perfect" home down by Horn Pond where they nestled right in for over the next fifty seven years. They brought three wonderful children into the world to whom they have been devoted too. They all had the pleasure of spending their summers in Mashpee where the summer months were thoroughly enjoyed by all the family and friends too!

After her youngest child was in school, it was time for Kay to put her organizational abilities to work! So Kay secured a position at Woburn City Hall where she had served as the secretary to the City Solictitor for over thirty years.

Kay's home was always decorated beautifully for all the holidays. On Christmas Eve there was the traditional Italian celebration in the DiPanfilo home with the feast of the seven fishes and and all the family gathered around the dining room table. Easter was also celebrated in the same fashion throughout the years, truly all about family.

When "Gram" began her journey as a grandmother she delighted in all that there was to do and be!! For all eight of the little ones, she played a very significant part in their lives. "Weekends at gram's" was always fun for all! She always had more than one grandchild at a time for these weekends and always changing up the activities each time. Time spent with "Gram" was always special.

Kay and Jim also shared sixty eight wonderful years. They travelled often, be it overseas to many of the different countries or out to Colorado to visit with his brother and family, they had a ball! Walking the pond was always on docket for each day for over twenty five years and for quite a few years she thoroughly enjoyed bowling by herself, with the grandchildren, in a league or with friends, she was a firm believer in being active.

Kay never really asked for anything for herself. She always felt that she had everything she needed in life, her strong faith and loving family, she had it all.
