Compost Company Adds Woburn To Collection Route
Black Earth Compost says the price will drop to $99 per year when 300 Woburn households sign up.

WOBURN, MA -- Black Earth Compost is now picking up organic waste in Woburn. While Woburn residents currently have to pay full price of $99 for six months, that price will drop to $99 per year when the company has 300 residential customers in the city. Black Earth Compost collects a wide range of organic food wastes, as well as paper, wood and cotton.
The company notes that even its full price is less than $4 per week and families that sign up will likely see a reduction in the amount of trash and recycling they generate for regular curbside pickup. Black Earth processes the collected materials into compost, which is used in farming and gardening. As part of its service, customers receive compost from the company each spring.
