Community Conversation: Show of Farino Photos

On Sunday, May 15, 2011, at 2 PM, Woburn Public Library volunteer Linda Olsson will present the 14th Community Conversation featuring photographs never shown before from the Patrick Farino Collection.  The program is free and open to all.

Photo topics will include 1954 hurricane damage, a local Singer Sewing competition, Immaculate Conception Church, First Communion at Saint Charles (May 15, 1955), the South End Italian Club, National Guard Company G in Woburn and at Camp Drum, Woburn Public Works vehicles, Woburn Post Office workers, and Woburn High School teachers.

There will be no descriptive narrative, as the audience is encouraged to identify what they recognize.  In previous showings, there have been some entertaining stories from memories provoked by the images.
