Former Patriots Player to Speak at Woburn Sons of Italy
Sports Night is presented by the Kiwanis Club of Woburn, and will be held Tuesday.

WOBURN, MA — The Kiwanis Club of Woburn will be hosting its Sports Night event Tuesday, featuring guest speaker and former New England Patriot Ronnie Lippett. He started in 111 of his 122 regular season games for the Patriots and started in four Playoff Games.
Lippett played eight seasons with the New England Patriots from 1983–1991. Born and raised in Florida, Ronnie attended University of Miami where he played cornerback. In 1983iLippett was selected by the Patriots in the eighth round of the NFL Draft.
He was named the "AFC Defensive Player of the Week" as he intercepted Dan Marino twice in the Patriots 34-7 rout of the Miami Dolphins at Sullivan Stadium on Oct. 5, 1986.

Lippett was also awarded the Patriots UNSUNG Hero Award after the 1987 season.
A cocktail hour to kick off the event will be held at 6:30 p.m.at the Woburn Sons of Italy located at 168 Lexington St. You can purchase tickets by calling Bob Hernon at 781-760-7490, or at the door.
