Former Winthrop Administrator Named as Interim Principal of Reeves Elementary School
The new leader of Reeves elementary school formerly served as a principal at elementary schools in Winthrop and Amherst.

WOBURN, MA — A former principal in Amherst and Winthrop has been named as the interim principal of Reeves Elementary School, Beth Hegarty—the administrative assistant to superintendent Mark Donovan—confirmed with Patch.
Bobbie Finocchio was named as Reeves' interim principal by Donovan during a recent meeting at the Joyce Middle School, according to Hegarty. Finocchio formerly served as principal of Fort River Elementary School in Amherst and as the Principal of the Cummings Elementary School in Winthrop, according to her bio on the Reeves Elementary School website.
Finocchio also served as a special education teacher in Winthrop and Weston. She earned her Doctorate in Education Administration from Boston College, a Master's degree in Special Education from Regis College and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Salem State University.

The Daily Times Chronicle reports that school officials will search for a permanent principal in Spring of 2017, and reports that Finocchio will be eligible to apply for the full-time position at that time.
