Giant Undercover Drug Bust At Woburn Hotel: DA

The DA's office said 800 grams of suspected fentanyl - with a street value of more than $100,000 - was sold to an undercover trooper.

WOBURN, MA — Two men were arrested for their alleged roles in the sale of more than $100,000 worth of what is believed to be fentanyl to an undercover State Trooper at a local hotel. Middlesex DA Marian Ryan said Manuel Perez, 42, of Lynn, and Juan Santana-Almanzar, 52, or Worcester, were arrested Thursday in connection to drug trafficking.

An undercover trooper allegedly arranged to buy 800 grams of suspected fentanyl from Perez for $56,000. The cash and drugs were traded, and State Police arrested Perez.

Police then arrested Santana-Almanzar, who they said was connected to the sale.
