How Much Snow Did Woburn Get From the Groundhog Day Storm?

Reports indicate the Boston area has been hit with a record-setting week of snow.

Woburn picked up 16 inches of snow - among the highest amounts in Middlsex County - from the Groundhog Day snowstorm, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm refused to stop on Monday. The forecast called for the hardest snow to fall on Monday morning before dissipating in the afternoon and stopping in the evening. The snow didn’t stop in intensity, but even seemed to pick up steam in the afternoon and early evening before finally stopping late on Monday night.

The majority of communities in Middlesex County got nailed with between 13 and 16 inches of snow. Wakefield, with 17 inches of snow, received the most in the county.

Worcester County picked up the most snowfall from the Groundhog Day storm. Leominster got 20.7 inches, Lunenberg received 19.5 inches and Westminster got 19 inches.
