Woburn Power Outages: Tree Limb Cuts Service to Nearly 2,000, Closes Cambridge Road Temporarily

UPDATE: Power has been restored to a majority of customers.

WOBURN, MA — Nearly 2,000 power customers in Woburn are without service Thursday morning, according to Eversource spokeswoman Rhiannon D'Angelo. D'Angelo told Patch that a tree limb came in contact with power equipment on Parker Street in Woburn just before 11 a.m.

Woburn Police Chief Robert Ferullo previously announced via Twitter that Cambridge Road is closed from the Four Corners to the Winchester Line due to an issue with downed power lines. It is not yet known when the road will be re-opened.

Residents are asked to seek alternate routes.
