ICYMI: Woburn Middle School Students do the Mannequin Challenge

The new craze sweeping the nation has made its way to Woburn.

WOBURN, MA — A new craze sweeping the nation has made its way to Woburn.

Students at the Joyce and Kennedy Middle Schools in Woburn took part in the Mannequin Challenge this week. Maureen Maney, the librarian for the schools posted videos of the "mannequins" on Twitter Tuesday afternoon, set to the tune of "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd.

Much like the Harlem Shake, Planking, the Running Man challenge and more, this harmless activity has gone viral in recent weeks. The challenge features people "frozen" in sometimes hilarious and creative poses as someone walks around the space and takes a video.
