Investigators: Brake Mechanism May Have Started Woburn Truck Fire
A witness said Tuesday morning's fire was so powerful it knocked a firefighter off his feet.

WOBURN, MA -- Investigators are looking at a possible issue with a brake mechanism in one of the two trucks that burst in flames in Woburn Tuesday morning. The fire started in a truck parked in an industrial park on Olympia Way and then spread to another truck. The two vehicles were quickly engulfed in flames.
A Woburn fire fighter "was keeping it down but as soon as he turned around, it flamed right back up,” Shannon Brennan, who made the initial 911 call, told WHDH News. "The second bang knocked the firefighter over and his hose started spraying out of control."
No injuries were reported, but the fire prompted an evacuation of the area. After the fire was put out, environmental crews worked to clean up any hazardous chemicals that may have seeped from the two diesel trucks.
