Lahey Hospital Plans Woburn Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing Site
Woburn City Council will consider a proposal by the hospital to have a drive-thru test site at 8 Presidential Way.
WOBURN, MA — Woburn City Council will hear a proposal by Lahey Hospital to set up a drive-thru coronavirus testing site in the city, at their meeting Tuesday.
The Burlington hospital applied for a special permit to use their Woburn IT office at 8 Presidential Way as a 3000 square foot testing facility.
Woburn has had a sharp rise in coronavirus cases over recent weeks, landing itself on the state's "high-risk" list. In an alert, Friday, the city said it has had 63 coronavirus cases in the past two weeks. The city asked residents to be vigilant with regard to coronavirus precautions.
