Maine Woman Dies In I-93 Crash In Woburn
The 48-year-old woman rear-ended another vehicle in stop-and-go traffic buildup at the I-93/I-95 Cloverleaf.

WOBURN, MA -- A 48-year-old Maine woman died from injuries sustained in a car crash just after 5 pm Saturday on Interstate 93 northbound in Woburn. Police say the Deborah A. Burpee, of Kennebunk, Maine was driving a 2009 Honda Fit when she rear-ended a GMC Yukon just south of Exit 37A. Traffic at the time of the accident was stop-and-go with regular volume at the I-93/I-95 cloverleaf in Woburn.
Burpee was transported to Lahey Hospital where she died from her injuries, was not released pending notification of the family. Massachusetts Sate Police said an investigation is underway.
Three lanes were closed on I-93 as State Police conducted a preliminary action. The lanes were reopened at approximately 6:35 pm.
