MBTA Commuter Rail Meeting Cancelled Monday

The meeting was scheduled for 6 p.m. at City Hall.

WOBURN, MA—Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Officials have announced that Monday’s MBTA Fare Proposal and Proposed Commuter Rail Schedule Changes meetings have been cancelled Monday.

The office announced through its twitter feed that both meetings in Norwood and Woburn would be cancelled. The meetings aimed to give an opportunity to commuters to comment on the MBTA Fare Proposal and the proposed Commuter Rail schedule changes.

The MBTA approved two proposals which included fare hikes of five and ten percent in January.

The T has created an online Fare Options Comparison tool to give customers the opportunity to calculate fares under the proposed changes.

Comments may also be submitted using the tool. Officials have not commented on whether or not the meeting would be rescheduled.
