McDonalds Will Rebuild Store At Four Corners In Woburn

City Council approved the plan, which is part of a project to reconstruct the busy intersection.

WOBURN, MA -- City Council approved a special permit to allow McDoanld's to rebuild its store at 187 Lexington Street in Woburn. The new restaurant will be 4,692 square feet, slightly bigger than the existing building, which measures 4,340 square feet.

As part of the approval, Braintree-based Hogan Management Company, the franchisees of the McDonald's, granted the city an easement that will be part of an anticipated reconstruction of the busy intersection at Four Corners. There is no timetable for when the city hopes to begin the makeover of the intersection at Cambridge, Lexington and Russell Streets, but city officials hope it will be one of the areas the Massachusetts Department of Transportation considers for a future project.
