Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan to Host Workplace Safety Conference
Event will address best practices for effective prevention, response, and intervention of potential crises in the workplace

The Workplace Safety Conference will be held Thursday, January 7 at Cross Point, 900 Chelmsford Street in Lowell. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The conference assembles experts from public and private sectors who will address best practices and training methods for effective prevention, response, and intervention in potential crises in the workplace, including mental health issues and violence. The panel will also share case studies (where attendees will actively participate and problem solve) from their experiences to demonstrate how to integrate various disciplines within your organization and with outside resources. They will focus on minimizing and avoiding potential risks, and outlining the roles and responsibilities for each discipline of the Threat Management Team at your organization. A “Best-In-Class” checklist will be provided and discussed, for attendees to take back to their company / college / organization and evaluate their own workplace safety programs.
There is no fee to attend this conference. Please RSVP to Deanna Deveney at deanna.deveney@state.ma.us.
