MLB Chooses ShoreTel As Designated Hitter

MLB teams are switching to ShoreTel phone systems to increase employee productivity and improve communications for staff and fans.

MLB Teams Choose ShoreTel as Communications MVP

The Boston Red Sox are the fifth professional baseball team to select ShoreTel for their UC needs, joining the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians and Miami Marlins.

It’s springtime, and that means baseball season is in full swing. Across the country, teams are dusting off the pitcher’s mound, setting up the bases, and readying their ShoreTel phones. Yes, for many baseball teams, ShoreTel plays an integral part in their daily operations, keeping players and staff connected in their stations and on the road throughout the baseball season.

Take, for instance, the Miami Marlins. They’ve been part of the ShoreTel Family since 2011, when they built a new stadium that used ShoreTel Core System, Enterprise Contact Center, ShoreTel Collaboration, and ShoreTel Mobility. With the unified communications system in place, communications throughout the stadium became efficient, quick, and brilliantly simple.

Or the Los Angeles Dodgers, who updated their stadium in 2013 to use ShoreTel phones and solutions for their front office and contact center operations. As a result, employees and executives can communicate both on- and off-site, providing improved service for fans and customers. The improved efficiency saves them both time and money, which helps get more fans in the bleachers and resources where they belong.

In Ohio, ShoreTel has the Cleveland Indians, who use ShoreTel solutions for its Progressive Field stadium, front office, call center operations, and spring training facility. With features such as auto attendant and callback functionalities, the abandon call time and hold times have been reduced drastically, providing a better experience for fans.

MLB Wins With ShoreTel Phone Systems

Another ShoreTel customer happens to be the five-time World Series winners, the San Francisco Giants. The Giants have been customers since 2009, and rely on ShoreTel to unify their communications between players, coaches, front office staff, and fans. While we’re in no way claiming that ShoreTel is responsible for their winning streak, it’s no stretch to say that simple and powerful unified communications can provide an improvement in efficiency across an organization, which translates to better performances all around, even on the field.

MLB Teams Switch To ShoreTel

And last but certainly not least, in October of 2015 our beloved Boston Red Sox decided to replace their aging Avaya communications system to better support staff growth and to align with their customer-focused strategy. The Red Sox selected the ShoreTel solution for its robust feature-set, virtualized platform, redundant network architecture, ease of management and the ability of the system to grow with the organization.

So the next time you go out to a ball game, think about how easy it was to reach ticket sales or customer service by phone. Then, when the coach calls in a substitute pitcher, keep a close eye on the phone he uses. It will come as no surprise if the team relies on ShoreTel’s brilliantly simple solutions for all its communication needs.
