New Bridge Opens To Traffic In Woburn
Some temporary lane closures may still be needed as crews complete work.
WOBURN, MA — The New Boston Street Bridge opened to traffic Thursday, according to a statement from the city.
"The bridge is an important connection between the New Boston Street area, North Woburn and I-93, and its opening marks a major milestone for the area," according to the city.
Some temporary lane closures may still be needed as crews complete remaining utility work and final work around the 316 New Boston St. driveway.

Businesses and residents will continue to have access to their properties throughout this work.
Drivers traveling through the area should use caution and be aware of construction crews, temporary traffic controls and possible delays, the city said.

Police details, signage and message boards will be in place as needed to help guide traffic through the area.
A formal bridge dedication will be scheduled for later this fall.
