New York Woman Charged With Prostitution
Woburn Police made the arrest after an investigation into a group of women renting rooms at a Woburn hotel.

A New York woman was charged with prostitution after an arrest at a Woburn hotel on Monday.
Woburn Police arrested Xiaoning He, 40, 4429 College Point Blvd., Apt. 3B, Flushing, NY, and charged her with sexual conduct for a fee.
Over the summer, a Woburn hotel reported a group of women regularly renting rooms. Many times, they booked a room and then cancelled the reservations. (Police declined to publicly name the hotel because of the department’s working relationship with the facility.)

During the investigation, police and investigators with the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force found an ad on backpage.com involving the women and tried to make an appointment at a Woburn hotel. They were unsuccessful, but police went to the hotel on Monday after the facility’s general manager told them the women booked a room.
Police conducted surveillance and saw a man enter the room. About a half-hour later, the man left the hotel and drove away. Police pulled him over on Mishawum Road.

Police spoke to the man, who said he made five different appointments in Woburn and Waltham after seeing an ad on backpage.com.
He said he paid $170 that day for sexual intercourse.
Back at the hotel, police knocked on the hotel room door, but there was no answer. Police used a master key to enter and arrested He for prostitution.
The New York woman had $343 on her as well as as other items, including a bus schedule from New York to Boston.
