North Shore Navigators Celebrate Connection with Woburn Little League

On Sunday, June 26, the North Shore Navigators will play host to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team on Fraser Field in Lynn as part of the team's Woburn night.

You know it's summer time when we start watching the sky for fly balls, oiling our favorite mitts, and spending breezy nights watching America's favorite past-time.

The North Shore Navigators, a collegiate baseball team based out of Lynn, will be hosting a special Woburn night to celebrate their partnership with Woburn Little League.

On June 26 at 6:15 p.m., the Navigators will play an All-Star game against the best college players in the nation in Team USA.

“The Navigator’s games are full of family fun and entertainment during and in-between innings including: Races around the bases, dizzy bat races, chasing mascots, and we’re still working on some other fun games [and] contests,” said Chris Carillo, the xoordinator of the event and the Navigator's ticket agent.

Carillo also mentioned that there will be vendors present at each game selling food/beverages, as well as beer. There will also be various organizations that have tables set up on the concourse with information on their specific effort.

When asked what sets the June 26 game apart from others, Cardillo said, “This game is one of the more popular games on our schedule, simply because it provides fans the opportunity to see some of the best up and coming baseball players from all over the country. The members of Team USA are not draft eligible, but most players end up being drafted, so it’s exciting to come out and see some future [Major League Baseball] stars in the making.”

The Navigators are quite the team as well, and are the defending New England Collegiate Baseball League champions.

Cardillo also explained the easiest way to get seats when he said, “Tickets range from $6 to $8 depending on where the seat is and discounted tickets are available for groups of 15 or more. Fans can call at any time (781-595-9400) to purchase tickets and one of our staff will be more than happy to help.”
