Northern Bank Foundation: Woburn Social Concern Council Awarded $10k Grant
The program serves 2,200 people each year.

WOBURN, MA—Woburn's Council of Social Concern has received sizeable resources to help Woburn residents and families.
Northern Bank Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Social Concern Council to support the program's services, according to a Northern Bank release. Foundation president James J. Mawn Jr. presented council members a check on Mar. 1.
The Council of Social Concern was founded in 1969 who were interested in promoting a sense of "neighborliness" in Woburn. According to its website, it provides the following services, among others:
- Safe, affordable, quality child care through our Children's Center and Family Childcare System
- Parenting education and supervised visitation services through our Family Skill Building Program
- Food assistance and community resource education through our Food Pantry
- Information and referral
