Obituary: Paula Malho, of Woburn

Paula Foley Malho, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away on Friday morning, February 20, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 45 years of age.

Born and raised in Woburn, she was the daughter of Jane (Foster) Foley of Woburn, and the late John H. Foley, Jr. Paula was a graduate of Woburn High School class of 1987 and the Bay State College in Boston. She was a longtime employee at Scruples Hair Salon in Winchester.

Paula was a devoted and loving mother of her two children, Erica and Dylan Malho. She is also survived by her loving companion, John “Jay” McDonough of Woburn, and his children Brittany and Matthew McDonough . She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, John H. Foley III and his wife Colette of Tewksbury, David Foley and his wife Joanne of Katy, TX, Linda Opie and her husband Doug of Rockport, Sheila Foley of Lexington; and she was preceded in death by her brother, the late Laurence “Larry” Foley.

A funeral service will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Road, Woburn on Thursday, February 26 at 11:00 am. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paula’s memory may be made to the Erica & Dylan Malho Education Fund, c/o Rockland Trust, 275 Main St.., Woburn, MA 01801
