Obituary: Robert 'Bob' Dever, Former Mayor of Woburn

Robert M. ”Bob” Dever, former Mayor of Woburn, died Thursday, Jan. 22.

Beloved husband of Elaine C. “Lainie” (Murphy) Dever. Devoted father of Meg Connors and her husband Ed of Hampton, New Hampshire, Pam Dever Dooley and her husband Joseph of Woburn, Philip M. Dever and his wife Annie of Andover, Jane Dever Prince and her husband Jeff of Hamilton and Robert M. Dever Jr. and his wife Denise of New Boston, New Hampshire. Dear brother of the late Margaret Foley and Jean Strzelwicz and brother-in-law of Marilyn and Bob St. Paul of California and their family. Cherished “Grampy” of Carolyn, Kerri, Jenni, Julianne, Tess, Grace, Sara, Will, Jake, Sophie, Elle, Samantha, Robert III and Jackie and three great-grandchildren. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral mass in St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, on Monday, Jan. 26, at noon. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. in Woburn City Hall, 10 Common St., Woburn.
