Park Bench Interview: 3 Minutes With TITLE Boxing Club
Lauren Macaulay tells Patch about the Title Boxing Club of North Andover and Title Boxing Club of Woburn.

Learn more about TITLE Boxing Club, which offers no-hit boxing classes, kickboxing and personal training consultations to help residents meet their fitness goals.
- How did you come up with the name?
āWe fell in love with a franchise that was trying to expand in this area. We opened our North Andover location in September 2013, and Woburn is set to open in June! The name comes from TITLE Boxing, the largest manufacturer and distributor of boxing goods in the world, and is part of the company. And āclubā was selected because we are one. We are not a āgym,ā we are a club, a welcoming, inviting, positive environment where members come to workout and end up being part of a close community.ā - Whatās your approach to keeping clients motivated?
āQuick, effective and FUN workouts packed with motivation from our trainers, and accountability from our trainers, staff and fellow members. Our members get results, which keeps them motivated!ā - Do you have a client from your past who you consider a particular success story?
āWe have so many members who have found great success - itās impossible to narrow it down to just one. Weāve helped members literally save their own life by losing 50, 75, 100+ lbs, gain self-confidence they never knew they had, reduce their stress, greatly improve their overall health and increase their energy and brought families together by working out together. ā - Whatās the best advice youāve ever been given?
āWork hard, be kind to everyone, and always do the next right thing.ā - Whatās the guiding philosophy you take to work every day?
āHard Work. Plus - this workout is great for anyone - we have members ages 6-80, all fitness levels from people who have never worked out before to current MMA fighters. Where ever youāre starting from and whatever your goals, we can help you get there. We even have a results guarantee!ā - Whatās the most challenging part about your job?
āFor me personally? Itās finding balance and time for everything. Iām a mom to a 5 year old, with a baby girl on the way (due in April), working a full-time career while also managing the Clubs. Busy? Yes! But boxing keeps my stress down, and I have met the most wonderful people through our members, our staff and trainers, and the community.
For the Club, weāre in the business of changing lives, so itās our responsibility and a challenge to keep members focused and engaged each and every day.ā - Whatās your position on people who make loud noises when they lift weights -- okay, or do you ask them to pipe down?
āWhile we have weights for lifting, that isnāt really the focus of our club. When it comes to hitting and kicking the heavy bags, we have folks who do it loud and others who are soft - whichever way youāre comfortable is fine with us, as long as youāre coming in! We encourage everyone to go at their own pace, with our trainers there to motivate you, show technique, push you harder, provide modification - whatever you need to get a great workout!ā - Iāve got 20 minutes for a workout. What should I do -- weights or cardio?
āIt depends on your goals, but for most people, how about both? Our high-intensity interval training gives you the benefits of both.ā - How can people contact you?
