PHOTOS: Burlington Students Return to School

BURLINGTON, MA — Students throughout Burlington said goodbye to the summer Tuesday and returned to school Tuesday to embark on the 2016-2017 school year.

As is tradition, many Burlington parents snapped pictures of their children's smiling faces as they headed off for another year. The good news is that many students looked happier to return to school than I was back in 2002.

We are still looking to add to our photo gallery! Send your kids' first-day-of-school pictures to joe.lipovich@patch.com for a chance to be featured in the Patch photo gallery. Please include their first name, hometown, grade, and age with your submission. We prefer landscape-oriented photos (horizontal), but will accept both portrait and landscape.
