POLICE LOG: Several Car Accidents on Monday

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Dec. 12 –

At 8:13 a.m., officers responded to a two-car accident on Washington Street near Dunkin’ Donuts. There were no reported injuries in the crash. Police said the driver exiting the parking lot onto Washington Street was at fault for failure to yield to the right of way.

At 10:13 a.m., police were dispatched to a two-car accident at Montvale Avenue and Central Street. According to police, a driver was backing up in an attempt to avoid a collision with a vehicle in front of him and struck a car behind him.

At 10:36 a.m., police were called to Everett Street for a report of a possible home break-in. A woman reported that her doorknob was broken and her door dented. The woman told police that she saw a woman who tried to open her door and then walk away on Dec. 9.

At 4:13 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Washington Street near the post office. According to police, one driver was cited for causing the accident. There were no reported injuries.

At 5:49 p.m., officers served a restraining order in hand to a Woburn resident.
