POLICE LOG: Sun Glare Leads to Car Crash

An excerpt from the Woburn Police Department's police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the  log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

August 22

At 12:32 a.m., a caller reported that a man involved in a domestic assault and battery the previous day had returned to the apartment and argued with the woman and pushed her again. The caller got the man’s keys to the apartment. Police could not locate the man. The man will be summonsed for a second assault and battery, according to the report.

At 3:14 p.m., a woman came to the police station lobby to report that a family member had threatened her and her son by phone. Police told her to contact them if the situation gets worse.

At 3:20 p.m., police arrested Kevin Sefton, 41, of 8 Dudley St., Arlington, on a warrant. Police had responded to a disturbance at at 186 Cambridge Road.

At 5 p.m., a woman was transported to by the after a car accident on Wildwood and Olympia Avenues. The woman was driving east on Olympia when she was struck by a car trying to turn onto Wildwood. The other driver said she did not see the other vehicle because of sun glare. The driver whose car was hit suspected her ankle was broken.

At 6:24 p.m., a resident of a Montvale Avenue apartment reported that someone broke into her room on the second floor of the building and took her laptop and $300 out of her wallet.

At 8:55 p.m., police arrested Patrick Capobianco, 24, of 314 Montvale Ave. and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, illegal possession of mace/pepper spray and on a warrant. Police responded to a disturbance between two roommates at that address. Capobianco allegedly sprayed another resident in the face with pepper spray when the other man got to his doorway, during an argument.

At 8:55 p.m., police arrested John D. Sasso, 48, of 314 Montvale Ave., on a warrant after a disturbance between two roommates at that address.
