Police Say Woburn Couple Ran Drug Distribution Ring
Michael and Shirley Nelson were arrested on multiple drug charges after police executed a search warrant Thursday.

WOBURN, MA -- Police seized 18 different illegal drugs and arrested a husband and wife after executing a search warrant Thursday. Michael Nelson, 51, and Shirley Nelson, 44, both of Woburn, face drug distribution charges and were scheduled to be arraigned in Woburn District Court Friday.
Michael Nelson, according to police, was charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and amphetamines, and possession with intent to distribute various class E substances. Shirley Nelson was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession with intent to distribute various class E substances.
In addition to 198.5 grams of cocaine, 130 Fentanyl pills, 137 amphetamine pills and25 oxycodone pills, police seized:

- 48 ecstasy pills
- 30 Adderall pills
- three Loraepam pills
- four Hydrochlorothiazide pills
- one Suboxone tablet
- eight Gabapentin pills
- 10 Clonazepam pills
- four Prednisone pills
- eight Cefuroxime Axertil pills
- nine acetaminophin plus pills
- 50 IU's of human growth hormone
- 23 lisinopril pills
- eight bottles of Catnip Cocktail
Police also seized Michael Nelson's car, $4,424 in cash and drug packaging materials.
Nelson works in car sales. In 2008, he was charged arrested in Waltham and charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.
