Porter and Chester Institute -Woburn Campus teams with American Red Cross for Winter Blood Drive

Porter and Chester Institute students team up with the American Red Cross to host a community-wide blood drive.

Students from the Medical Assisting program at Porter and Chester Institute’s Woburn campus will team with the American Red Cross to encourage classmates and community members to give the gift of life by donating blood. The blood drive is open to the public. Donors must be in general good health, be greater than 17 years old and weigh at least 100 pounds.

The winter season is a challenging time for blood donations. Inclement weather can result in cancelled donor opportunities, which means the Red Cross is not able to collect hundreds of vital blood donations they were counting on. The American Red Cross encourages everyone to make donating blood a priority this winter. For more information, visit www.redcrossblood.org.
