A prostate cancer support group isn’t just sitting in a room talking about cancer. It’s about an opportunity to hear on occasion from a leading cancer specialist from the area and always meet others that you can identify with being a victim or victor and discuss ways to help cope through your decision process, treatment experience. It can be one of your best expectations and likely the first step of coping. You will be provided with a confidential atmosphere so you can discuss the feelings and fears you are experiencing and the uncertainties and challenges that lay ahead. You can discover information and tips that you might not have been aware of about your disease that you missed from the various internet sites. Having a good outlook on life and being optimistic is the goal of all cancer support groups, and this makes the journey a lot less difficult and to be known as a cancer survivor and “thriver”.
For the victors and survivors, you too can help others who are dealing with the disease to thrive as well - share your experiences. When you give of yourself, you get more in return. If you want to lift yourself up, lift up someone else. Our support group has helped hundreds of people cope so don’t be overwhelmed, afraid, and alone -COME JOIN US!
