Register now for Step Out for Hospice, receive long-sleeve shirt to show your support for local nonprofit
19th annual walk/run in Woburn supports end-of-life care for patients and families

Registration has started for the 19th annual Step Out for Hospice walk/run around Horn Pond in Woburn on Sunday, Oct. 2.
Entries received by Sept. 28 for the 3-Mile Walk and 5-Mile Road Race will be guaranteed to receive a Step Out for Hospice long-sleeve shirt at the event.
The walk/run benefits VNA Hospice & Palliative Care, a nonprofit organization that provides care and compassion to individuals and families facing the challenges of life-limiting illness and loss. VNA Hospice & Palliative Care is based in Woburn and serves area communities.

Step Out for Hospice features a free 1-Mile Fun Run at 11:30 a.m. for children ages 13 and under. Prizes and a limited number of T-shirts will be available for Fun Run participants.
The 3-Mile Walk starts at noon, and 5-mile Road Race at 12:30 pm. Participants are invited to enjoy the post-walk/run festivities, including live music and dancing, chowder, hot dogs, popcorn, and raffle.

Preregister now for the Walk or Road Race for a discounted fee of $30. The Fun Run is free; preregistration is appreciated. To register or for more information, visit http://www.vnacare.org/stepout or call 781-569-2820.
Register on the day of the event at the Irish American Club of Woburn, 147 Main St., beginning at 10 a.m. The day of entry fee is $40.
Step Out for Hospice is presented by the Woburn Friends of VNA Hospice & Palliative Care, Irish American Club of Woburn, and Shamrock Running Club. The event is generously sponsored by McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home and White Builders.
