Report: Sports-Related Concussions Down at Woburn High School

Concussions have been on the decline at Woburn Memorial High School, according to a report by the Daily Times Chronicle.

WOBURN, MA—Concussions have taken center stage in the modern-day discussions of athlete safety, and it seems that Woburn Memorial High School is heading in the right direction.

According to a report by the Daily Times Chronicle, Athletic Director Jim Duran reports that concussions have significantly decreased in contact sports. The report also indicates that Duran attributes the trends to contact restrictions in practice.

The story, reported by Patrick Blais of the Daily Times Chronicle, indicates however that Duran was unable to detail exact figures, but that an emphasis has been placed on proper mechanics in contact sports.
