Wilmington-Woburn Rte. 93 Lane Closures Next Week

Seek alternate routes to avoid delays on Thursday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Commuters should be aware that work on I-93 Northbound in Wilmington and Woburn next week will cause some traffic delays due to lane closures.

On Thursday, March 19, two lanes will be closed on Rte. I-93 Northbound in Wilmington and Woburn between Exit 41 (Ballardvale Street/ Rt.e 125) and Exit 37C (Commerce Way). The lanes will be closed on Thursday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to allow work crews to install pavement markings.

MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes, to avoid delays. Drivers that must travel through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone.

The work is part of a $16.4 Million project to resurface and rehabilitate this section of I-93.
