SCI to Hold Potluck Dinner Sunday for New Woburn Families
Families new to Woburn and those who are interested in becoming ambassadors are all welcome to attend!

Social Capital Inc. (SCI) is holding a potluck dinner for new Woburn families interested in connecting with the Woburn Ambassadors, volunteers who are helping welcome newcomers in Woburn. They are holding their first ambassadors program event on Sunday, March 11th from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club (1 Charles Gardner Ln, Woburn, MA 01801). Families new to Woburn and those who are interested in becoming ambassadors are all welcome to attend! RSVP to this event by emailing krusso@socialcapitalinc.org.
The overall program, being developed by SCI and the Woburn Public Schools, will involve a combination of group activities along with developing a sustained one on one connection with another family. It hopes to connect those who may consider themselves unfamiliar with the various organizations and services offered throughout the community with individuals who have gained a more in-depth knowledge through their years of residing in Woburn. Potential ambassadors portray an interest in sharing their enthusiasm for the Woburn community with newcomers, a strong knowledge of the community, and a commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment in Woburn.
Ambassadors will be able to provide answers regardings topics like navigating the school system and connecting to extracurricular activities. The meetings may also simply serve as a way for participants to get to know more people who are living in their new community.
