Snow In Woburn: What You Need To Know

We have all the details on what you need to know to weather Thursday's storm.

WOBURN, MA -- Woburn has canceled school for Thursday and declared a snow emergency ahead of a storm bearing down on the region that is expected to bring more than a foot of snow and blizzard-like conditions. The snow emergency parking ban goes into effect at 8 am Thursday morning.

The city will post a notice on its Website when it has been lifted. Vehicles have to removed from the street during snow emergencies. If you do not have off-street parking, there is parking available to residents in assigned municipal parking lots. For more information, contact the Woburn Police Department 781-933-1212.

Waste Management Curbside trash pickup will now be on a two-day delay schedule due to the holiday and Thursday’s storm. There is no trash pickup on Thursday, January 4. That means if your regular curbside pickup day is Wednesday, it now moves to Friday, January 5; Thursday’s route will be picked up on Saturday, January 6, and Friday’s route will be delayed until Monday, January 8.
