State Police Seize Crystal Meth In Woburn

The drugs were seized and two men were arrested following a traffic stop

WOBURN, MA — Massachusetts State Police arrested two men and seized 130 grams of crystal methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Mishawum Avenue in Woburn Monday. A State Police trooper who pulled over a Chevrolet Cruze in a gas station on the roadway after witnessing a traffic violation. The trooper believed the men were nervous and the passenger, Louis D. Jeremie, 28, of Dorchester, did not have the rental agreement for the car.

Police learned Hertz reported the car stolen when Jeremie did not return it.The State trooper and a Woburn police officer who responded to the scene removed Jeremie and Jeffrey C. Boris, 39, of Danvers, from the vehicle. During a search of the Cruze with a K9 unit, police found drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Some of the drugs were found in a backup that belonged to Jeremie, who was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute (subsequent offense), use of motor vehicle without authority and failure to signal.

Boris was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Jeremie is being held on $750,000 bail pending his arraignment in Woburn District Court.
