State's Only Electric Vehicle Maker, Based In Woburn, Will Add Jobs
New financing would allow the company to hire dozens of employees.

WOBURN, MA — The state’s only manufacturer of electric vehicles, headquartered on Holton Street, has just received a $4 million loan that could lead to new jobs here.
Indigo Technologies was awarded the funding by MassDevelopment, a quasi-public finance agency, the Boston Business Journal reported.
The company said it will use the loan to support operations and to make as many as 35 new hires over the next two years.

Founded in 2010, Indigo makes electric vehicles used for ride-sharing and package delivery. The company says it saves space in its vehicles by placing electric motors inside the vehicle wheels.
